Volunteers

Volunteers are a vital part of the Mission of Spirit Catholic Radio. They are involved in the everyday workings of the station, as well as at our special events. Volunteers participate in administrative & clerical work; set up, clean up & table serve for our Spirit Celebration Dinner; set up and/or volunteer at Spirit information tables at Parish/Catholic School/Community events; paint and build as needed; assist with housekeeping duties; answer phones for Care-a-thons; package rosaries & other items and deliver to Parishes and any other day-t0-day needs. They are the ESSENCE of service within the Spirit Catholic Radio Community, which serves everyone who has ears to hear the message of Christ's love through their radios and personal computers at home and at work.

Volunteer Opportunities:

	Daily Office Volunteer (one or more days of the week, ½ days or full days) A Daily Office Volunteer's duties would include: Reception Desk - using a multi-line phone Tidying up the office Greeting & Serving our Visitors Various administrative duties including mailings and inventory Personal Computer skills are helpful including MSWord and EXCEL
	Care-a-thon Volunteer (work on mailings prior to and/or the week of Care-a-thons) Assembling mailings prior to Care-a-thon (twice per year) Answering phones & filling out pledge forms Sending out acknowledgements for pledges/donations

	KVSS Prayer Support Partners Become a Prayer Support Partner and pray at our Chapel of the Word Incarnate or from home. We also invite you to spend time in Adoration between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday - Friday, at Spirit Catholic Radio. We are so blessed to have our Chapel of the Word Incarnate where we have scheduled Exposition of our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament as follows: Tuesdays: 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Wednesdays: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Fridays: 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
	Spirit Community Missionaries Represent or help recruit others to represent Spirit Catholic Radio in the community, such as in community parades Millard Days, Benson Days, Ralston Days, etc. Events for various religious ministries/apostolates Creighton, College of Saint Mary and UNO activities
	Spirit Prayer Missionaries Special Volunteers who work to spread our mission and presence to nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Help make radio programs a part of every day life by getting the information to residents Make sure residents able to get reception of the programs Encourage elderly to identity themselves as "Spirit Prayer Missionaries" for the mission of Spirit Catholic Radio
	Special Events Volunteer (be a part of a project oriented event committee) Spirit Catholic Radio has various events from time to time where we need a volunteers to be focused on a particular project. The following projects are currently scheduled events: Spirit Celebration Dinner Hosted events at the station National Catholic speakers
	Spirit Catholic Schools Missionaries Represent Spirit Catholic Radio at the games we broadcast by hosting drawings and/or distributing T-Shirts, balloons and/or other giveaways. Help facilitate the annual Folder Contest
